An Electuary with Turmeric.
Take conserve of Celandine leaves 1 ounce; powder'd Turmeric half an ounce; Troches (or rather dried flesh) of Vipers 3 drams; Rhubarb, Saffron, each half a dram; Syrup of Fumitory as much as suffices, mix.
It Revives the [Sigma Upsilon Mu Omega Sigma Zeta] of the Blood, adds fresh vigour to the depressed Volatile Salt, stimulates and gives motion to the Bile stagnating in the Liver, and so happily cure the Jaundise. Dose the quantity of a Walnut, twice a day, with a glass of white Wine after it.
